While our founder, Tom Slinn II, sat around a round wooden coffee table in his living room, during a game night with his young sons and wife, his oldest son asked him about the deep grooves in the top of the table.  Tom began to tell the story of how this table was an heirloom piece from his grandfather; and the grooves were created by him.  This made Tom realize the longevity of products made from one of Earth's treasures, wood, was more than just another utilitarian item in your home.  There is an inherent beauty to wood that has its own fingerprint, making products heirloom pieces of art worthy of passing through generations and storytelling.  Tom decided to create Slinn & Sons Co. to build products with authentic craftsmanship that are hand selected and allow the art of the wood to speak so that you can share your treasured items of beauty and stories of love.
